HK - solved!
I must admit, I'm not having as good of a time in HK as I used to. I wasn't sure why and I was really worried that it was because it was just wearing off on me. However, yesterday I figured it out! These are the things that must happen for HK to appeal to me:
1. Independence - This is the most important component of a wicked HK trip! This time around, we came back to HK for my grandpa. So my dad's actually staying with them. That leaves my mom and I living with my aunt. And that leaves my mom tagging along with me. NOW IM NOT SAYING I DONT LIKE CHILLING WITH MY MOM! She's cool! It's just that now I have to do everything that SHE wants to do. Or if I wanna do something that I wanna do, I have to convince her that it's fun, which it usually isn't for her (ie. reading at the library, going wakeboarding, wandering the streets) So I've spent a lot of time shopping with her (so boring..) and just doing random things like visit her relatives graves and what not.
2. Humidity - It is so freakin humid in this city in August. I hate it. I'm sitting here in an unconditioned room and my arms are stuck to the desk. It's gross.
